Hello January 2026!

Wow - we are over halfway through January 2026 already! The time is just flying. Parent Pathways has been particularly quiet over the last year and a bit with both Sophie and growing our families. I can only speak for myself in saying, I really feel like I hadn't realised how much busier family life would be when bringing another baby into the world. Which sounds incredibly naive, but it just feels like being able to keep momentum up with Parent Pathways has been tricky while navigating the first year of Rory's life and keeping everything else ticking over too. I am someone who tends to be hard on herself, so knowing that things have been quiet has been playing on my mind. So here I am, on a random January evening, finally ticking some things off the to-do list and trying to get the Parent Pathways cogs turning a little again.

We are making some tweaks to our website to make it more user friendly along with our Self-referral form. We are really lucky to have the support this year from Deal Rotary Club after being supported last year by Inner Wheel Club of Deal. This will really boost our funds for this year. We continue to be supported by some regular players to the Dover District Council Lotto and are really grateful for this continued support. We will also continue to host our Quiz nights this year which the fabulous Sophie and her husband do a fabulous job of putting together. With the brilliant funds raised in 2025 we are already able to fund 2 families places on Oak Tree Obstetrics antenatal course in February, with one place already allocated and one still to be taken up.
