My journey blog by Sarah

Updated: Apr 17, 2023

Sarah is based in Deal where she lives with her son George, husband Tom & cats. Sarah works in a number of places including local Primary schools, a local Dance academy & running her own parent & baby class - Moo Music Deal & Dover. She loves spending time with her family and particularly enjoys trips to the zoo as well as singing in a couple of choirs. Sarah experienced Birth Trauma for a number of reasons and found her experiences difficult to process initially. After recognising she needed some help with processing everything and recovering physically she was able to begin a healing process. Part of Sarah’s healing process is the desire to help others to try to ensure that they do not experience similar challenges to those that she did, and to help those that have faced challenges by pointing them in the direction of whatever help they may need. She feels that talking is a really valuable tool for removing stigma of certain subjects and also bringing people together to know they have shared experiences and that they are not alone in what they are feeling. Sharing experiences both positive and challenges is another of Parent Pathways key aims; to help people to feel that they are not on the Parent Pathway journey alone.
